The Emergency Children
It’s that time of year again! No, I’m not talking about the fall season. I’m talking about The Emergency Children’s Help Organization’s 10th Anniversary Gala. Themed “Celebrate With Us”, the event will take place at the Addison Park in Aberdeen, N.J., Friday, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m.
The Emergency Children’s Help Organization or “E.C.H.O.”, is a non-profit organization based out of Charleston which aids children dealing with medical/living emergencies with financial support. ECHO recognizes the burden of such financial strain on a family and helps ease those worries while being a source of light for those in time of crisis.
Being honored at the event for their services to community and to the organization will be Eric Eremita, a Staten Island general contractor and designer and now the star of HGTV’s “Love it or List It and appearances of “Property Brothers”, and also Doug Wells, General Manager of a Ray Catena Mercedes-Benz of Edison, previously dubbed “Mr. Mercedes”.
Wells has been an advocate of philanthropic work for more than 20 years, involving himself and his wife in both local and national charities. In fact, Wells has been a supporter of E.C.H.O. for 10 years now, first learning about the organization when its’ chair Sebastian Angelico brought it to his attention.
But even though E.C.H.O. is all about the children, the evening will be a chance for the adults to celebrate their generous contributions. The night will include elaborate games of chance, live and silent auctions, spectacular gift baskets, money and lotto trees, luxury wheel spin raffles, and a Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Rolex raffle. There will also be other surprises that will have to be left to just that for now. Proceeds from the event will help support children experiencing a medical emergency and their families struggling with bills to aid their child.
Tickets are priced at $200 per person. For additional information, call Denise M. Stallone at 718-967-9085. Sponsorships and souvenir journal ads are still available.
