Ray Catena Mercedes-Benz of Edison Congratulates GM Douglas Wells for Raising Over $15,000 for Susan G. Komen

EDISON, NJ – The Ray Catena Auto Group family applauds Ray Catena Mercedes-Benz of Edison general manager Douglas Wells for his tireless work last week raising money for the fight against breast cancer.

Doug was a major participant in the recent regional Susan G. Komen BigWigs drive, an intensive short-term event in which corporate and community leaders engage in friendly competition for the title of “Biggest BigWig” by collecting the most funds. Participants use their positions to help the Susan G. Komen foundation advance breast cancer research and support survivors.

All BigWigs participants sport a pink wig during the event, not only to bring fun and levity but also as a symbol of breast cancer awareness. Doug wore his to the Ray Catena Mercedes-Benz of Edison dealership as well as to restaurants and around town, and was seen on social media to the delight of his followers. The drive concluded on Monday, March 20th, with Doug totaling $15,586 in final funds raised, exceeding the initial goal of $15,000.

“I am so humbled that we were able to raise this money in one week for a great cause and am so thankful for everyone who donated,” Doug commented this week. This is just the latest example of the Ray Catena Auto Group commitment to giving back to the community around us – congratulations once again to Doug for his successful efforts!
