⭐ 1 STAR — IF I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS, I WOULD!
Ray Catena Mercedes-Benz of Edison, NJ
THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD AT A MERCEDES-BENZ DEALERSHIP!
I walked into Ray Catena Mercedes-Benz of Edison on October 31, 2026, looking to purchase an AMG SL 55 convertible as a birthday gift to myself. I was a serious potential buyer, but apparently nobody at this dealership thought I deserved even a simple greeting.
I stood there for approximately 20 minutes, watching around 10 different couples walk through the doors and receive immediate greetings and attention from the staff.
EVERYONE WAS ACKNOWLEDGED EXCEPT ME!
Not one salesperson approached me. Nobody asked whether I needed assistance. Nobody even bothered to say hello.
The only person who initially showed any willingness to speak with me was someone from the service department. That's absolutely ridiculous for a dealership selling luxury vehicles.
Eventually, a manager came over and apologized. But what made this even more frustrating was that the manager had the opportunity to see how other customers were being greeted while I continued to be overlooked.
Then came Corey, the salesperson.
Corey's attitude was absolutely unacceptable. He came across as rude, dismissive, and extremely pushy. His approach was the complete opposite of what anyone should expect from a professional Mercedes-Benz sales representative.
COREY, YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS NEED SERIOUS IMPROVEMENT.
I have experience in luxury automobile sales, and I know what professional customer service is supposed to look like. This was nowhere near it.
I shouldn't have to chase down an employee just to receive the same basic courtesy being extended to everyone else.
A CUSTOMER'S APPEARANCE SHOULD NEVER DETERMINE THE LEVEL OF RESPECT OR ATTENTION THEY RECEIVE.
Whether someone is purchasing a $30,000 vehicle or a $150,000 Mercedes-AMG, every customer deserves to be acknowledged and treated professionally.
I came in excited about purchasing my birthday convertible. Instead, I left feeling completely disrespected and disgusted by the level of service.
Ray Catena Mercedes-Benz of Edison, you seriously need to reevaluate how your sales staff treats potential customers.
Luxury isn't just about the vehicles you sell. It's about the experience you provide.
TODAY, YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE FAILED MISERABLY.
ZERO STARS IF GOOGLE WOULD ALLOW IT.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE.
