Mercedes-Benz Vehicles with Head-Up Display

Mercedes-Benz Head-Up Display

The head-up display (HUD) on your Mercedes-Benz transforms your windshield into a digital cockpit, displaying information like your speed, GPS navigation, cruise control settings and key information on the current traffic conditions around you.

With the intuitive head-up display, you are able to get all the information you need while keeping your eyes on the road ahead. And because you can adjust where on the windshield glass the display projects according to the height of your seat and your own preferences, it never obstructs your field of view.

Driver Advantages of Mercedes-Benz Head-Up Display

Mercedes-Benz HUDs provide an information display that is intuitive and also in the driver’s line of sight. This gives drivers several key advantages over the traditional head-down instrument cluster.

Key advantages of Head-Up Display include:

  • Significant increase in the time the driver spends with their eyes focused on the road ahead, increasing driver and passenger safety
  • Simplification of the combined tasks of monitoring the vehicle’s speed and performance, navigating to the destination and driving safely
  • Reduced driver fatigue, thanks to these tasks becoming easier to manage
  • Unique HUD technology that allows for the display of important real-time information without interfering with the driver’s line of sight while driving
  • With an HUD, information is displayed in a way that doesn’t distract from safe driving.
  • The “Augmented Reality Head-Up Display” (or AR-HUD) available in the Mercedes-Benz S-Class models uses augmented reality technology for both driver assistance and navigation systems. These include Active Distance Assist and Active Lane Keeping Assist features, as well as arrows that show you when roads turn and which lane you should be in to get to your destination of choice.
